With it’s mix of industrial and upscale steakhouse design, the Blue Moon offers a downtown dining atmosphere without the hassle of the big city. Nestled along the Highway, the restaurant has provided an inviting and intimate dining experience to the La Crosse, Onalaska, Holmen, and West Salem area for nearly 100 years. Initially a home for a local family, it was transformed into several businesses, including a restaurant in 1957 and a night club and a piano bar during the 70s. The establishment as it is known today was opened in 2007 by the Nimtz family.
For those who want to stop for a drink, there are 11 TVs to choose from for watching sports. For Romantics the site offers a beautiful view of the sunset on Lake Onalaska from the large picture windows at the front and sides of the building.
