Cousin Vinny's Restaurant opened its doors in December, 2009 in Chelmsford in the province of Ontario Canada. The owner, Chris Vitello opened the Italian restaurant with his business partner and best friend Tylor McNair. The two of them won the Young Entrepreneurs Award in 2010 and the Bell Business Excellence Top 40 in 2011. Chris was nominated for Entrepreneur of the year again in 2018.
In 2015 the two friends decided to end their business partnership amicably since Tylor wanted to pursue other interests but the two still remain best friends. Chris is active in the community and gets involved in helping organizations in Chelmsford. In 2017 Chris expanded the business, opening a second location,a restaurant and bar in the Place Bonaventure Mall. The new location was completely renovated and is an exact replica of the original location of the original Hanmer location. Both locations have the same menu options and offer a variety of top entertainment. Both restaurants also host fundraiser events for charities.
Cousin Vinny's Restaurant & Bar does catering and hosts weddings and other events. Their all inclusive packages include the hall rental rate, liquor license, coat check service, cash bar, in-house decorator, reception DJ and shuttle bus service for guests. Customers who don't need the all inclusive package can also choose from their plated of buffet menu options.
The restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine. Signature appetizers include bruschetta, prosciutto wrapped asparagus, deep fried cheese curds and pickled spears among other tasty options. Authentic main entrees include New York steak, steak and shrimp, stuffed chicken, baby back ribs, chicken Parmesan and veal Parmesan. They are also open for breakfast and serve traditional favorites such as eggs, ham, bacon, waffles, pancakes and French toast. The owner understands that sometimes people are in the mood for a late night meal. The late night menus includes options such as chicken fingers, Vinny's famous wings. loaded potato skins, nachos supreme, battered fish and chips, onion rings, fries and Cajun buffalo chips.
